Socks Without Partners is a just-for-fun site. Here’s what we collect and how we use it, in plain language.
What you share when you post a sock
We collect your sock’s photo, name, personal ad and details, plus the nickname, location and email address you give us. Everything except your email address is shown publicly on your sock’s page.
Your email address
We use it to tell you when your sock goes live and when someone sends a note about it. We never show it on the site, and we never sell it. If you reply to a match note, that person will see your email address because you wrote to them.
Match notes
When you send a note about someone’s sock, we pass your name, email address, note and optional photo to that sock’s owner so they can reply to you. We keep a copy so we can help if anything goes wrong.
Taking your sock down
Every email we send about your sock includes a link to remove it. You can also email hello@sockswithoutpartners.com and we’ll remove your sock and your details.
Cookies and newsletter
The Cheer button uses a cookie to remember your vote. If you sign up for our newsletter, your email address is stored with our email provider, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
